Strengthening Communities Before Disaster Strikes

Crisis Relief & Recovery helps churches, businesses, and community organizations prepare people, build readiness, and respond more effectively when crisis comes.
Why Preparedness Matters

The First Step to Recovery is Being Prepared

Preparedness is one of the most overlooked parts of disaster work, but it is one of the most important. Communities are stronger when people know what to do, leaders are trained, and trusted local institutions are ready to serve before a crisis ever begins.

That is why CRR invests in community preparedness. We equip churches, businesses, and local organizations with practical training, readiness planning, and partnership pathways that help communities face disaster with greater clarity, resilience, and hope.

"Our church feels prepared to serve"

CRR came to our church to conduct the Church Relief Hub training and Stop The Bleed certification. Our church feels more confident that we can serve our community in a disaster, and more convicted that this is a part of our calling - than ever before. I highly recommend partnering with CRR in general and this training specifically to equip your church to serve your community.

Our Conviction

The Best Time to Prepare Is Before the Storm

Preparedness is the first and one of the most important phases of the disaster management cycle. It strengthens people and institutions before disaster strikes, improves the quality of response when crisis comes, and lays a stronger foundation for long-term recovery. That is why CRR sees preparedness not as a side issue, but as essential work.

When communities wait until disaster strikes, they are forced to respond with confusion, delay, and limited capacity. But when leaders prepare ahead of time, they are able to protect people, serve more effectively, and reduce unnecessary suffering.

Take the Next Step In Community Preparedness

Whether you lead a church, a business, or a local organization, preparedness begins by taking practical steps before the storm. CRR is here to help you move from good intentions to real readiness.

Help Us Maximize Impact For Communities in Need

When CRR raises money during a disaster, 100% of the money raised (minus credit card fees) goes straight to helping that community recover. No shaving off the top for administrative fees or marketing campaigns – just real, practical help.

We are able to guarantee that 100% of funds raised during a disaster go directly to the community in need because of the generous individuals, foundations, and corporations that cover our operational, administrative, and training expenses as part of our Always Ready Fund. CRR is able to offer Church Preparedness and Relief Hub trainings for no or low cost because of the generous donors who give to our Always Ready Fund.

When you give to CRR, your dollar goes further because of our multiplier effect. After Hurricane Ian, we turned x thousands of dollars in donations into x value of work (43x multiplier!) due to our partner relationships and volunteer network.
